Confirmed from Barker Woods Nature Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A beautiful place for an autumn walk. The trail is less than a mile. It is easy to follow, well-maintained, and gorgeous.
great for a quick hike or a short getaway right in the middle of Michigan City. the trails could be marked a little better but I didn't get lost and honestly even if you did it's not a really big area so it wouldn't be much trouble finding your way back to your car.
I really enjoy our visits to Barker Woods Nature Preserve. My wife and I take our dogs there for exercise. Both for her and fir us. Very pretty, very close, and the terrain is fairly flat which makes walking a little easier. I do like it. FIVE STARS ALL DAY.
