Confirmed from Bassett Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park with a playground, sports facilities, and disc golf, plus a dog park.
What runners say about Bassett Creek Park
“This park is a beautiful hidden gem in the middle of the northwest metro.”
Awesome trails, beautiful woods, Pond is a bit icky, but still nice. playground is huge. Great for kids big zip line there too! Only downside is the fishing pier, and one of the parking lots needs an update/renovation pretty bad. Still a great awesome place to go to though!
This park is a beautiful hidden gem in the middle of the northwest metro. It is great to find wildlife as I often find wood ducks, cranes, turtles and eagles in this area. When it's too sunny and hot, I like to walk around this park (a little over a mile if you begin at the Dog Park side of the creek).
Very nice park, big open space for dogs to run around and lots for them to sniff. There are two separate parks, one for small dogs and one for big dogs. The regulars are always super nice with cute dogs. Right next to a nice long trail for the dogs too.
This park is such a sweet quiet haven in the middle of the suburbs. I enjoy getting to walk and run on the trails as well as just sit and enjoy the view. I highly recommend stopping and enjoying the great outdoors.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
