Great conservation area with lots of trails and a BIG view at the top 🤩⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️👍. From the intersection of Hammond Rd and Bauneg Hill Rd in North Berwick, the trailhead pull off is about 1/2 mile on the left. Look for the trail map sign 👈👀.
We had a good hike. It's not a very long or hard trail system. It is very muddy and icy in spots. But overall it was good. The longest part just ends at a road and you turn around to go back. We couldn't go up one part of the trail because it was still all ice and snow.
I decided it was time to get myself ready for some fall/winter big mountain hiking and I found out about this area from a friend. It was an short and easy hike with great views!
Cool little spot you wouldn't expect to be there. I wish you could actually do the whole mountain and it's kind of a bummer that the trail just stops at a road. However the terrain and woods are very cool. Lots of very big old trees.
