This is one of the best parks i have seen in the region. It has an extremely large dirt parking area, along with a large open field. It abuts some trails in the woods and a few fields. It is dog friendly unlike many others that are not dog parks.
Pleasant multi- use park. Covered picnic area, lots of room for lawn games, Frisbee golf course, and some short trails through the woods. and, of course, there's the gazebo for weddings I think groups have to reserve through Sanford Parks and Rec website.
Great place to go walk the Sanford Trail system, have a picnic, bring the kids to play or run around or just to go park and eat your lunch. It's a peaceful little spot and no one comes bothering you if your sitting in your vehicle there.
Great place to walk with the children and dogs in the trail or take a stroller on the sidewalk! Also know that sometimes there are active tents and grocery carts being used in the trail.. during warmer months.
