Confirmed from Bayswater Point State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wetlands & wooded area with trails at the Far Rockaways tip providing habitat for migrating birds.
What runners say about Bayswater Point State Park
“Went for aircraft spotting, the park was quiet, probably because it was a cold day, but very clean and nice view of the aircraft flying overhead.”
“I'm so lucky to have a property at distance from this beautiful nature park I call it "THE SECRET NATURE WONDER IN QUEENS NYC"”
“Went for aircraft spotting, the park was quiet, probably because it was a cold day, but very clean and nice view of the aircraft flying overhead.”
Surprising benefit of checking out this state was discovery of marked blue trail starting from the state park and following the bay shoreline toward Mott’s basin, in and out. Big attraction is also the close-up views of the planes heading to JFK airport. Street parking is the only option.
A great place to sit and watch the water. Trees for shade and also sun. Lots of nature to enjoy. You are right at the end of a small peninsula, able to walk down to the water's edge. May see ducks, swans other birds. Can feed seed to the birds if you bring it.
It's an amazing park! A good spot for fishing, walks, and in general, a good spot to hangout and have fun! The hours on google are not 100% accurate. They actually close at sunset and the last entry is 15 minutes before the closing time.
