Confirmed from Bear Legacy Adventure Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Bicycle and walking trails with wooden sculptures like teepees, plus a bike park and kids' activities.

“Easy trails with fun activities for kids.”

Perfect adventure for kids of all ages. activities throughout the trail to keep them engaged and an awesome bicycle track for adventurous riders. My 4 year old and 2 year old ask to go back often.

We love going walking here. It's fun for kids and they love all the hidden things along the trails. One of the favorite trails is the Bear hunt trail with all the characters hidden along the hike. The wooden teepees and obstacles are also so fun.

★★★★★ — Dawn , Dec 2020

Awesome adventure park for kids. Fully shaded with plenty of well spaced activities for kids to enjoy along the trails. We will definitely return with bikes for the bike course next time!

★★★★★ — Sunsadie , Jul 2020

Bear Legacy was awesome, had I been properly prepared, I would have done a review for my YouTube channel, but next time I am in the area, I am all over it. In the meantime, this place is full of trails and different obstacles built be boy scouts. You can walk or ride a bike on the trails.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
