We visited August 2024 - Stop 3 along the Little River Canyon Scenic Parkway. Bob and I checked out the Beaver Pond Trail but decided to save the entire hike for another day. Our short walk into the trail revealed why the hike is a favorite for bird watchers; we saw a pileated woodpecker and heard many songbirds.
Following my "jungle safari" at nearby Little River WMA earlier 11jun2026 morning, ~08:15 i arrived at Beaver Pond Trail for a "cool down". And what a nice and enjoyable walk it turned out for me .. lovely green woods, trickling stream, birdsongs .. blue sky .. "bonus" -sweet solitude 🙃
