Confirmed from Belgatos Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Belgatos Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (533 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“The trails are well maintained with nice views of the valley once you get higher up.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“The steep trails provide stunning valley vistas, and you may encounter various wildlife and birds during your hike.”

🌳 shaded & cool 6 mentions

“One of the best things about this park is how shaded it is—perfect for a cooler walk, even on warmer days.”

Nice little park with good quality play structures for kids about 10 & under. I really like that they have separate structures for toddlers/babies. Their slides were clean and there was plenty of wood chip on the ground. A small portion was even padded by the small slides.

A really nice park. There is plenty to do from hiking, picnicking, playground area and a big open grass area to run around. This is a lot of shade and a small creek that probably has water in it during the rainy season.

★★★★★ — Clara , Sep 2021

Small and hilly. Mostly wide paths. Parking limited. Dogs allowed. Partially shaded. Gets busy mid morning

★★★★☆ — Lisa , Jul 2020

We went for a hike with a friend and her dog. The restroom facilities were clean. The hand dryer didn't work in the ladies', but air-drying is easy outdoors. The hike options were well laid out on a map at the trailhead. We chose the 2 mile trail. There is also a 5 mile option.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
