Confirmed from Belk-Tonawanda Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly park featuring picnic tables, a play area and hiking trails, plus cookouts.
What runners say about Belk-Tonawanda Park
“There are a lot of large trees that provide good shade while walking.”
Great walking track and renovated park. Summertime pleasure at the new splash pad. It was strange that the bathrooms were locked on a Saturday given it is the busiest day of the week. We didn't feel comfortable with the kids roaming around while some people were beneath the bridge smoking something, definitely illegal.
2025.12.06 ~06:55, i was the 3rd to arrive and parked in Belk-Tonawanda Park. Spent a few few minutes "layering up" cos it was chilly and cold mid-30s_F before heading OUT (CW-Loop) : Belk-Tonawanda Park >Don Griffin Memorial Park > Sumset Park > Historic Downtown Monroe > Belk-Tonawanda Park.
The park has recently added new walking paths. The paths are wide and laid out in a nice loop. There are a lot of large trees that provide good shade while walking. The only reason I didn't rate higher is the frequency of people that visit here without having their dog on leash.
It's a nice little park in the historic Monroe area. It has walking/jogging paths. Picnic areas, a playground for children. You can walk your pets there. It is calm and queit.
