Confirmed from Union County Heritage Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Union County Heritage Trail
“It's beautiful and very natural regarding sounds from the highway are a faint part of the experience.”
“Well marked and maintained trails.”
It got 4 stars because it is a free local trail that is a good distance. There are markings of color on trees throughout the trail but no map or legend as to what these colors mean and how long the trails are. We hiked/walked for about 2 hours and memory got us back to the car.
Awesome little hidden trail! Also has a mailbox with a diary inside. With pages full of peoples experiences here. Definitely check this place out.
I rated this trail four stars because all expectations were met except for there was no map or key available to know the trail's distance or understand the marks on the trees. The trail is very well kept and active as we did not encounter any spider webs while en route.
Its a 3 mile loop. Well marked and maintained trails. Follow red arrows. Soccer field spur adds about .4 mile.
