Confirmed from Belmar Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Tree-filled park offering hiking & biking paths, a playground & facilities, plus stone artwork.

Absolutely beautiful spot. A friend took me here for a walk during my visit and I had no idea how picturesque of a location this was. The water is full of turtles and fish, the paths are beautiful. Just a lovely place for an afternoon stroll. Hung out here for a while and loved every minute. Very cool spot.
Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park is fabulous to walk through. From the visitor center to the Colfax hub and farm center, there are many interesting thing to see and learn about. Walking among the many trails around the lake, you will have the opportunity to see many beautiful and serene sights.
You can't get enough of this 😍 park. It has a dirt road, hills, horse 🐎 trail, sidewalk all around the park, kiosk for events, lake in the middle, benches throughout, beautiful view to the mountains ⛰ a playground and portable potty.
Didn’t even know this park existed but it was so cool! Free parking behind some buildings but the trail isn’t too long and a lot of benches and stopping points around the lake. Not paved but dirt is flat and a lot of cool views of the cormorants! Will definitely be going back

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
