Confirmed from Ben Hadley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Would appreciate more seating in shaded areas but you can easily bring your own chair to sit under a tree.”

Cute little play area for the kids. Would appreciate more seating in shaded areas but you can easily bring your own chair to sit under a tree. The equipment is in good shape.

★★★★☆ — Shawn , Aug 2022

Great place to spend an hour or so walking the flat paved paths or using the play place with a ramp and an accessible swing. There is some shade along the paths but very little near the playscape. There are a few picnic tables and benches throughout the park with a plaques of pages of a storybook along the trail.

★★★★★ — Ash , Jul 2024

Nice and newly renovated playground. Nice walking trail around the perimeter. For the most part, it's dog friendly. Just be advised that there is a story book around the walking track that can be a pain for dogs on leashes. Be advised that there are no restrooms and no places nearby with restrooms.

Pretty legit playground for my 4 and 6 year old .. small but functional .. mildly crowded .. nice small path that circles the park for a quick walk .. along the nice smooth paved paths around the park are some cool pictures or birds and short info on them .. well maintained .. will return

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 5 mentions

“Be advised that there are no restrooms and no places nearby with restrooms.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
