We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Betty Russell Community Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful park only 1/2 a mile from 6 Flags in Guernee Illinois. This park is clean and has plenty of garbage cans for garbage and pet bags. A little bit for everything for everyone: playground for the little ones, sand volleyball, tennis and basketball courts as well as a clubhouse and bathrooms. There is also.

This park is under normal covid free life is usually full of friends for your kiddos to play with. It is clean and in a nice neighborhood. It has shade and seating, I am pretty sure it has a bathroom but we haven't had to use it.

I recently visited this park with my kids, and we had a fantastic time! The park is spacious, clean, and offers plenty of exciting activities for children. There was so much room for the kids to run around, and the variety of play areas kept them entertained for hours.

★★★★★ — India , Oct 2024

The playground offers a fun and safe play space for kids and adults who are chasing after littles! The playground base makes it comfortable and gives a sense of security for all. My daughter enjoyed the train and all of the slides! There is a walking path and a field with a room for parties. Lots of options here!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
