Confirmed from Kilbourne Road DPRT Trail Access' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Kilbourne Road DPRT Trail Access
Driving up from the south, I think this is an ideal parking spot for exploring the northern portion of the Des Plaines River Trail because it is just off US 41. There isn't much here, just a small parking lot and a couple of picnicking tables, but it serves its purpose well.
Parked and walked north on the trail. Beautiful walk, took the camera along for photo opps of the kids.
Pretty nice trail actually, you could definitely spend the entire day here. People are very respectful and there’s so much space you can walk for 2 hours and not see anyone but nature. A+ all the way, highly recommend even in the winter!
Very nice place to walk near water. However there are electrical posts out there you can hear buzzing in parts of the walk. Very bike friendly and depending on the time of yr may want to watch out for flooding on the roads.
