Whoever came up with this extremely long nature walkway had an excellent idea. I love making the trek through wooded areas, across swamp lands, and under highway bridges. Many type of flowers and wildlife can be spotted along the way. Great place to bring family and friends and take pictures.
This trail located near YMCA is part of the popular Big Creek Greenway trail and is great for a quiet and relaxing walk. Although it's pretty close to the YMCA and the main road, the trail is secluded from the traffic noise. Great for walking alone or with pets and biking.
This greenway is gorgeous and well taken care of. The pathway is paved and winds through a gorgeous wooded area right next to a creek. You're in the heart of Alpharetta, but you wouldn't know it once you get a few steps down the road.
The Big Creek Greenway is a great biking path. It is mostly flat and well maintained. It goes through some relaxing swamp fields with lots of opportunity to see animal life. The facility near the parking lot is reserved exclusively for the Y, which is frustrating when you want to just take a seat for a moment.
