Confirmed from Big Hill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Big Hill Park
“Big guest list, or just a family walk, the beautiful Park on the rock river has everything you need for fun.”
This place is so beautiful years round and always a wonderful drive , walk or hike
Have been here 2x now. Its a great place to hike. I did over 5 miles the first time. There are mowed paths and a prairie on the one side and the other is the big hill. Lots to explore. Would definitely recommend. Lots of little parks and restrooms are out houses so they are opened all year round.
Thinking of a family reunion? Or just a play day with the kids? Either or, the Big Hill Park in Rock Co is the only way to do it all! Big guest list, or just a family walk, the beautiful Park on the rock river has everything you need for fun.
This park, while seemingly small has quite the trails, views and overall setting. Beautiful layouts for an easy walk or a more challenging hike keep you busy. Multiple picnic areas stocked with tables, benches and even fire pits/fireplaces. On-site vault toilets leave a lot to be desired.
