Confirmed from Big Spring International Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

We really enjoyed city park... it looks pretty well maintained & nice scenery... enjoyed walking the grounds around the lake filled with Koi, Carp & Gold fish & the various restaurants located around the park in addition to The Huntsville Museum of Arts are very close...

WOW!!!! What an absolutely beautiful place in Huntsville, Alabama💕. An absolute gem right in the middle of downtown♥️ Visited on Xmas Eve & this place was MAGICAL & the special thing was that each decoration & tree was donated by local businesses like banks, doctors, dentist & other places & each had a name❤️ This…

Beautiful park. Great day with granddaughters exploring Huntsville’s history. Lots of fish, ducks, and geese. Make sure to take plenty of quarters. There are several fish food vending machines along the paths. TRUST ME ITS WORTH IT.

This park is simply delightful. There is a large lake that has plenty of ducks and fish for viewing in the center. You can also follow part of the stream that leads up to the spring. There were lots of fish and duck in the spring that you could feed if you wished.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
