Confirmed from Bigfoot Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A 5-mile trail with more than 800 ft of elevation gain amid desert scenery dotted with Joshua trees.
What runners say about Bigfoot Trail
Relaxing fun trail and hiking. Great scenery. Adventure Hummer Tour was great.
If your looking for something fun but challenging this is the hiking trail for you with beautiful scenery and wide life. ( keep your eye open to see the wildlife or you miss it )
Almost died out here in 100+ degree weather. Those 5 miles were not fun. I’m not bitter tho so 5 stars
Great hike! Love the views. If you love being outside and hiking then you will enjoy this one.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
