Confirmed from Bijou Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Meadow park with basketball, volleyball & skateboard areas, disc golf, a dog run & railroad exhibit.
What runners say about Bijou Community Park
“Wonderful park , clean, and the different dog parks are great, 3 different dog areas, big dogs, little dogs, and agility!”
“Great 27 hole layout, if you're not from the area and happen to find this place on a trip, stop and get in a beautiful walk around this park.”
“There was lots of shade and places to sit and watch all the activities.”
Played here a few times over the years, I live in Sacramento and whenever I get up to Tahoe this is one of the few places I will always stop for. Happy to see the local golfers keeping the tee pads clean and ready even in a few feet of snow.
Very cool park. Came to see the BMX track and dirt jumps. Seriously high quality BMX dirt track and jumps. There is an easy, medium, and hard dirt jump run. It's amazing. I've never experienced such a high quality park that caters to the BMX community. I was extremely impressed with the park. Very nice.
I love this place -they have an obstacle course and then another part of the park they’ve got two fenced in areas-one for small dogs and one for large dogs /they all have nice shade as well as benches
Very beautiful but very difficult to reach as a pedestrian. The trekking paths lost in the snow, you need snowshoes to advance, either way, you'll find a very beautiful landscape

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
