Visited: 6/8/2024 - The Tahoe Rim Trail offers three distinct trails for varying hiking preferences. The first trail leads to a "Scenic Overlook" and takes just 15 minutes; simply follow the trail until you reach the Vista sign. This is ideal for those who prefer shorter hikes.
I visited this park on 7/18/2022. A lot of parking spaces, clean bathrooms. This trail is steep, sand but pay back with spectacular view at the end. Bring a lot of water, sunscreen, hat, camera, hiking shoes. It was an unforgettable.
The trailhead is easy to locate and has convenient parking with restrooms. There’s several trails meeting at several points and we took the Barn Trail, which is more popular. It’s a good idea taking pictures of the trail map even though trails are marked.
7-14-25 great one mile hike to the top hill with a unique view to the lake. Trail is pretty steep almost near to the water fall, good for burning a few calories. Free parking and bathroom is available at lot. Don’t forget to bring enough water. Follow the orange arrows on trees because there are other routes too.
