Confirmed from Blackburn Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
In addition to multi-use fields & trails, this park houses a tennis center with lighted hard courts.
What runners say about Blackburn Park
“Beautiful landscaping and easy access from the Ashford Dunwoody parking lot.”
This is one of the larger parks in the city of Brookhaven. This park has a lot to offer: A baseball Diamond, bathrooms, a community garden, a huge green space- perfect for running, a mixed-use field, a large parking lot, paths that take you through the whole park, a picnic shelter, a playground, tennis courts, and a…
Very nice huge park around the city. Kids playground is the best and has good stuff. I was able to take kids on bike trail which was amazing, nice paved. Lot of open area and lot of benches to sit around.
I used to frequent this park when my daughter was younger because she was in the Girls on the Run program. So it's been several yrs since I've been. I must say they have done an amazing job of adding on to this park! They have more playgrounds (updated the old as well).
I really like this park. A little over a mile walking trail which is beautiful. You feel like you're in the woods. Tennis courts, and baseball fields. We came a lot over the summer. The only thing I can complain about is that the large playground is not covered. So when it's hot it's really hot.

“After playing on the equipment, they were able to rollerskate around the park because of the ample and smooth concrete paths.”
“Beautiful landscaping and easy access from the Ashford Dunwoody parking lot.”
“The only downsides is the poor grading of the walkway/sidewalk paralle in a stretch or two that is much too steep and a lack of signage or available maps for navigation.”
“However, even a light covering would be nice because everything gets so hot.”

- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
