Confirmed from Murphey Candler Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
135-acre park offering walking trails around a lake, a swimming pool, sports fields & picnic areas.
What runners say about Murphey Candler Park
“The only negative being I couldn't see any restrooms and the park is not well maintained but the location is good.”
“Beautiful park that’s perfect for anyone, whether it’s a nice walk with friends, a family cookout, a fun time in the playground for children, or just doing a photoshoot.”
“A peaceful getaway in the middle of Brookhaven/Chamblee where nature is abundant, welcoming and just beautiful.”
When I think of peace on earth Murphey Candler Park, comes to mind. It is a wonderful park with a lake in the city of Brookhaven, not far from Perimeter Mall. You feel the Lord's presence all around from seeing the geese, turtles, heron and hearing frogs croaking.
I absolutely love this park. Perfect 2 mile hike around the lake. Not very steep. After I did the hike and admired all the beauty around. I found a perfect spot to put my Hammock and read a book. Lots of families and people walking their dogs. Will for sure be back. I had a very relaxing time.
An ideal place for picnics, walking or jogging. The place is so quite and serene. They have plenty of shelters to take a break. There are washrooms inside. Plenty of children's play area. Perfect for photo shoots. The park is open upto 8pm, but im sure there are plenty people who sneak in after 8.
Great park. Very peaceful on nature trail. Great view of the lake. Lots of pavilions for picnics. Ample parking. Easy path around the lake. Super-scenic!
