Confirmed from Blackburn Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful park inside a nice residential area, with nice, cheerful sculptures of children and paved trails. Lots of parking. It is very calming to walk there as it is not too busy in the mornings.

Beautiful park in a nice quiet area of Webster Groves. Grabbed Fuzzy Taco and went to eat lunch at picnic table. Playground, pavilion, small hiking trail, and soccer field. Good place to bring a dog.

The most precious hidden gem! Multiple pavilions, 2 softball fields, 2 tennis courts, a soccer field and walking trails (including some through the wooded bird sanctuary) make this 36 acre park my favorite! I loved it so much that I bought my house in its neighborhood!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
