Confirmed from Blackhawk Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park grounds feature a canoe launch & fishing dock, plus hiking trail, observation deck & pavilion.
What runners say about Blackhawk Park
“It is partially paved, but the parts of the trail that were not paved was pretty flat and well maintained.”
“Beautiful trail that wraps around a good-sized pond.”
This park is so incredibly beautiful. A hidden gem, lots of wildlife, great hiking trails
Nice trail to walk the dog. It's not to long. Perfect for a day when you need a work out but don't have a lot of time. It takes about 30 minutes to walk around the lake. I would recommend this trail. It is also a spot that people like to fish, kayak and canoe.
Beautiful , quiet park. Lots of walking trails and a great playground. Perfect place to fly kites too!!
Nice peaceful area for an evening walk. About 1.1 mile round trail I think.
Trail conditions & character
“Nice and safe play area for kids and a good walling or biking trail with lake view”
“Kind of hidden and not a ton of parking but makes up for it with plenty of free green space, a fire pit, and a great playground.”
“It is partially paved, but the parts of the trail that were not paved was pretty flat and well maintained.”
“It is also a nice place to do a short cross country ski run in the winter time and is level enough for us beginners with only slight slope.”
“I would say that you could even use a stroller/wheelchair on this trail.”

- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
