Confirmed from Blackwater Pond Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Natural area for walks and bike rides along a paved path.
What runners say about Blackwater Pond Park
“That bike path is so beautiful this time of year.”
“Quiet good place to jog and be with nature”
Beautiful and well maintained walking area. I am a nature photographer and spent 2 hours here enjoying the sunshine and natural life.
That bike path is so beautiful this time of year. Unfortunately, the bike trail ends a mile or so on they other side of Brewster.
2/22/25 Just took the pups over on the Brewster Rd field to run and was pleasantly surprised, all the woods trails were opened up and easy access to walk/ Compliments to the Twp for doing that. It’s my go to spot to run the dogs. I would have liked to see the Machine that did that work and to shake the operators hand.
Wonderful place to get an easy 3 mile walk in! You can park off of Brewster Road or go to the parks main entrance on Central Avenue. Either way you will find a trail which is paved and wide! Enjoy the quiet of the fields around you. Leashed dogs are welcomed!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
