Confirmed from Blankets Creek Mountain Bike Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Blankets Creek Mountain Bike Trails

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (654 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Signage is clear throughout the trail system, and the trails have always been well maintained.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“You get great views of the lake on the ride and plenty of Nature and deers.”

This was an excellent hike. Well marked trails that are carefully laid out, with specific days for hikers/bikers on each trail, so that the chances of collisions are reduced. There are a lot of creeks and streams running throughout the trails.

It’s very beautiful natural place for hiking or biking. Fall or spring will be perfect time to unwind with friends or loved ones. Definitely start early to enjoy at it does get little crowded for biking later in afternoon. Pure and serene place.

I stopped by Blankets on my way down from NC. My first time here. I truly enjoy these trails. Wide variety of trails for all skill levels. People were very nice and helpful pointing me in the right direction. I will certainly come back. I left more than the suggested $1 dollar donation.

These trails are fast and flowing trails with enough variety for MTBer’s of every level. These trails are also used by runners and hikers but I have never seen any issue or conflict. Check out a couple of short videos I have added if you want to get a sense of the flow of a few trails.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 7 mentions

“The parking and entrance is free, but please be generous and donate a few bucks (they recommend only $1) to show your support and appreciation.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
