This was a wonderful park to spend time in on a cool fall day. There are mountain bike trails as well as hiking paths. There are benches and picnic tables scattered around the parking lots, and public restrooms nearby. You can sit and enjoy nature without going far. You might consider bringing your own chairs.
Nice park. It's pretty well kept. Part of the trail is paved and the other part is not. I love kayaking here because there is a waterfall that you can hike or kayak to. Watch out for copperhead snakes though. Dogs are allowed too but must be on a leash of course. My dog enjoys it a lot.
When I’m not reviewing coffee spots, I’m indulging in my other favorite activity: hiking and being immersed in nature. There’s nothing like taking in the fresh air. We set out early in the morning with a clear goal—to find a waterfall. It took us a few hours, but the journey was worth it.
Great overall park. We got here about 7am following a decent rain storm and unfortunately it was completely washed out (no bites). I've read from other anglers there are spots to walk to but that wasn't possible for us this trip.
