Confirmed from Blue Jacket Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Sports, recreation, loop path & picnic areas amid stone structures & a fountain on 75 acres.

I had a great time at this park with my dog! It’s a beautiful and spacious place—big enough to explore but not overwhelming. The park has a really nice balance of nature and activity, with lots of people out exercising and families enjoying the space. It’s both family-friendly and very dog-friendly, which is lovely.
Huge park with tons of space to walk around, get some exercise work in. They have basketball courts, tennis courts, and really nice baseball fields. They also have a workout station where you can do push-ups, pull ups, dips, etc.
Came to visit since I went to boot camp here 34 years ago. Very nice park for walks, etc. has softball field, basketball courts, beautiful oak trees. Added a photo I found online that shows the old layout of the training center vs now.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
