Confirmed from Bluff Creek Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Flat bluff trail, mainly for hikers and dog walkers.
What runners say about Bluff Creek Trail
“The trail is beautiful and it isn't too crowded so it's usually pretty peaceful!”
“It is dog friendly and moderately trafficked with people and pets.”
I enjoy my local walking trails. Bluff Creek Trail has awesome views. If you are not a fan of dogs. This is not the place for you. Although there are signs posted that dogs must be on a leash. People here don't adhere to it. It is a friendly atmosphere. This is about a 4 mile trail. Enjoy your run/walk here. I did 😄
Very nice place for hiking in heart of Playa vista, very clean and full of spring flowers, it’s almost two miles trail (one way), there’s plenty of parking spots.
This is such a nice place to hike and/ or bring your dog. The trail is beautiful and it isn't too crowded so it's usually pretty peaceful! There's a dog park at the bottom of the trail which is great for your dogs to interact and enjoy. You can see a beautiful sunset if you go towards the end of the day/early evening.
This two mile dirt trail is mostly flat with a little slope at both ends. It has modest foot traffic, mostly runners and dog walkers. However there aren't any amenities along the trail not even a bench. There are a few parks down the slope but there is no access to the bottom in the middle of the trail.
Trail conditions & character
“The trail is full of unleashed dogs, even though there are signs against that.”
“Good view in the beginning but when you start walking there’s no real view of anything.”
“A short, graveled trail with some concrete spots that’s easy to get to and easy to walk.”
“This two mile dirt trail is mostly flat with a little slope at both ends.”
