Confirmed from Bobolink Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Nice easy trail with some good views and the creek nearby.”

A beautiful near urban trail along a peaceful babbling Brook. Well-maintained, and managed by the local parks in the heat of July still filled with blooming wildflowers like Larkspur and many others. This trail is level and would rate as “Easy“ in nearly every book.

★★★★★ — Kyle , Jul 2023

Beautiful views, dog friendly, kid friendly, bike friendly. Creek is great in summer for kids and dogs. Cement path or dirt trail options. Easy / flat the entire way. Accessible from 55th street (East Boulder Rec Center or Baseline). Connects to other trails if you want to keep going.

★★★★★ — Victor , Dec 2021

Beautiful peaceful trail. Very dog friendly. Lots of dogs on leash. There's also a nice little creek a little off the trail. Very easy walking.

★★★★★ — B , Feb 2023

Flat paved and dirt paths. Open space on one side and the stream and mountains on the other. You can still hear a little traffic but a very nice walk.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 27 mentions

“Not too many dogs and most of them were on leash, the dog owners are polite and nice.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
