Confirmed from Boerne City Lake Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Great place to bring the family, you can swim, BBQ, and rent kayaks 🛶 there is lots of shade. The lake is pretty clean. It is a dog friendly park but they must be on a leash. This was our first time there but not our last. Everyone was very friendly. The park does close at 10:00pm. It cost $15.00 - $20.00, a car load.

First time here with the kids and they had a blast. Plenty of shade around the water. There are real restrooms and porta pottys around the park. There are bbq grills, trails and a playground. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards or bring your own. We even caught a fish while fishing.

This lake is pretty nice. It's $10 for entry and $5 for seniors. There are lots of picnic tables and even a small playground for children. You can fish here and also rent kayaks and paddle boards. For a single person kayak/paddle board it's $20/hour and for double it's $30/hour.

★★★★☆ — Ashley , Jun 2024

As a resident I am able to enter at no cost. Small fee for non residents. It is always well maintained and such a peaceful and beautiful lake. It is surrounded by a walking path and has plenty of parking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 7 mentions

“There is one nice restroom near the playground and several porta potties around the parking lot.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
