Confirmed from Boerne City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a very nice, clean, family friendly park! It’s perfect for quiet outings. We also saw several pets on the walking trails.

Boerne City Park is a great refuge at all times but especially during COVID. There is so much space and so much to do that distancing isn't hard . It has been the saving grace for my 5 year old who has gone stir crazy at home for months. We use the walking trails, biking trails soccer fields and playground.

Love the trails and the peacefulness of this place! A nice way to connect with nature. Variety of trails surfaces: paved, dirt and compacted dirt as well as grass. Best part is that it’s free to enjoy. Nice benches and picnic tables for places to sit and relax.

★★★★★ — Chrystal , Dec 2023

This place was incredible. Very easy to access, very relaxing environment. The trees provided ample shade. We saw deer and snakes. The kids loved exploring and the adults loved putting their feet in the cool stream water. Would visit again.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
