Confirmed from Bosque River Trail Access - Shapard St's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly and easy 2.9-mile trail along the Bosque River for walking and jogging with scenic views.

“The trail is well maintained and a beautiful place to enjoy the fresh air!”
This is one of my absolute favorite places in Stephenville. The trail is well maintained and a beautiful place to enjoy the fresh air! I love the new extension. A full “loop”, is about 5.5 miles (around the city park + both ways on the trail).
Great concrete paved trail. The reviews I read said it was a 1.5 mile long trail. It was 2.9 miles.. we walked the short half. Pretty trail, well maintained. Bathrooms were Porta John's. Not well maintained. I used one that was full and lacking toilet paper. Othe r hikers had leashed pets.
Trail is accessed easily through multiple points and is a clean, paved, and wide path along the Bosque River. It's great for any fitness level, so in Stephenville, there is no reason not to get outside! Oh, and bring you favorite pup. This trail is definitely friendly!
We love walking at the Bosque River Trail. We have family in Stephenville. During each of our visits we make time to walk this trail. Very scenic and pet friendly place to walk.
