Confirmed from Shanley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
City park with a trail, picnic tables, and creek, known for its holiday lights.

What a gem tucked in a couple of blocks off the square! Beautiful and peaceful with fountains and the canal. There is a bike/walking trail through the park that loops back through the square. It's an easy 1-mile walk. I visited both days I was in town.
My husband and I love Shanley park, especially during Christmas. Always love taking photos there and going on peaceful walks🫶
OMG! Felt like a walk of Texas Exploration to another part of Who-Ville! So much fun!!!!
Shanley Park and Granbury is one of the most peaceful locations in all of Texas! Old town shopping with lovely mom and pop style stores and cafes are all in close proximity to the park. Shanley Park has several active water sculptures. There is one that is great to run through on a hot day.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
