We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Brainerd Levee Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 4 mentions

“Beautiful walking trail on top of the flood control levee.”

Beautiful walking trail on top of the flood control levee. Construction of the levee was to reduce flooding, but it created an unexpected added benefit of creating a marvelous upland wetland area that is wonderful for birds and wildlife!

★★★★★ — Tim , May 2023

It was my first time to try this trail. It was fun and easy, very clear of trees or other obstacles. The only thing I did not like was not having any shade for a long time. Other than that it was very fun.

Beautiful scenery! Peaceful! I thoroughly enjoyed my run along this stretch of trail. I was compelled to just keep going to see more of it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
