Confirmed from Brooktree Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“The greenery is well-maintained, with beautiful trees providing plenty of shade, making it the perfect spot for a picnic or just unwinding with a book.”

🌳 shaded & cool 8 mentions

“I wish there was more shaded seating; the picnic tables aren't positioned under the trees and the only bench is in direct sunlight, so I usually bring my own chair.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 9 mentions

“One of the standout features is how peaceful and quiet it feels, even when it’s busy.”

This park bnb is great. They have multiple baseball fields and usually the gates to the dugouts are unlocked and you can close them behind you which is really great for people who have dogs that dont neccesarily want to take their dogs to a dog park.

No complaints about the park. It is groomed on a weekly basis. There are regulars every day walking with their dogs or alone. Bathrooms are normally open except in the colder weather it seems. I walk here several times a week.

The playground could use some updating and more bark. The little league fields and green space are great, though. We've been playing baseball here for years and I appreciate all the shady areas and walking paths.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 20 mentions

“Played with the dog in the baseball field, walked around the park then found a shady spot to lay down to read and eat.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
