For those in the Cedar Park area, this trail takes away any reason to go to the lady bird lake trail. Part is paved, some is gravel. There’s a creek. There’s a lake for kayaking (with kayaks to rent) & fishing. There are multiple parks along the trail.
Our favorite place to go for a walk..the trailhead on the staked plains loop is walkable distance from my house. From the trailhead, I walk towards to the YMCA and the lake. I prefer this trail over the one that leads you towards the soccer fields.
Massive, beautiful, green, hiking, bridges, and water. What more could you ask for. Soccer Fields, baseball fields, skatepark, this park has it all. Clean bathrooms, water fountains, handicap accessible. Beautiful piece of Cedar park
Brushy Creek Greenbelt is a special place. It is beautiful and tranquil as well as offering a lot to do. My only concern has been that housing and construction has been creeping in on it particularly over the last 5 years. Still it is a great place to walk, bike, sit or play.
