Park is well maintained by the county. Trail is about 6 miles and is pretty flat. Trail is well paved and you would see forest, falls, lakes along the trail. Trail is bike friendly, dog friendly. Picnic spots available for families to enjoy. Good parking space available at both ends of the trailhead.
I absolutely love running on the trails here, paved and dirt. Such a beautiful area that is so well maintained!
The Brushy Creek regional Trail has been around since I believe very close to 2000, the trail has many subparks along it and they are nice place to stop, restroom, water and usually playscapes and picnic tables.
I do not live in the Austin area but was in town for a wedding and this trail was suggested as a great place to run. Let me just tell you it was awesome!!!!!!!!!! The trail is a mixed trail of crushed rock and concrete.
