Confirmed from Brushy Creek Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Today I Hiked over three miles with my family. I would like to say, I REALLY enjoyed this trail. I caught a few fish here today beautiful sunfish! I would say that this is a must stop and like the other trails, this will be lovely after a hard rain! 10/10

My new favorite trail in Round Rock. They have new nice clean trails by the river. A lot of places to sit and walk. We also a lot of bicycles and people walking their dogs. There is also a place for the kiddos to play at the park

DO NOT PARK IN THE LOT BEHIND THE SHOPPING CENTER OR RESTAURANT!!! You WILL get impounded and have a $338.39 tow bill for walking your dog. Ask me how I know. Other than that, it’s my favorite trail in Round Rock. Beautiful trail with Brushy Creek next to it. Love coming out here for a walk or to fish.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Brushy Creek Trail

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
