Confirmed from Buck Thomas Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Expansive, nearly 130-acre park featuring a playground, fishing, a walking trail & more.
What runners say about Buck Thomas Park
“Park is well kept and has several rest benches for relaxing.”
Nice park with many open spaces. If you are into Baseball this place had 16 fields. Other fields to the east can be used for soccer or football. Several paved trails run on the east side along creeks and loops around a small pond. An extensive play scape for kids is close to the water tower.
This park was my childhood! Often there would be free concerts to see, and my grandparents would take us here so we could play while they caught the free show (they always stayed busy with the activities that most reflected their values or got them the most free things) so my sisters and I played on this playground.
Trail conditions & character
“Only complaint is the soccer field isn't up kept and the darn restroom 🚻”
“On the cons list, he only thing I would say is that during the week a lot of high school students come through the parking lot to have some kind of practice.”
