Confirmed from Buckquarter Creek Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Shallow river known for its rapids and waterfalls, plus easy to moderate trails for hiking and swimming.
What runners say about Buckquarter Creek Trailhead
“The visitor center was open and had very clean restrooms!”
“Beautiful unpaved trail through the woods alongside the eno river with several access points to get to the river.”
“) But with good weather and lots of shade, this hike only takes 45 minutes and is a must-see.”
“Easy trail along the river and up the ridge.”
6-27-21 Few's Ford access of Eno River State Park. Has its own parking lot (beside the Piper-Cox Museum) and it's somewhat near the office. Red blazes. This is a 1.5 mile loop trail that goes beyond Fews Ford and upriver. There are quite a bit of staircases at the beginning/end. So expect some up and down here.
This trail is well worth the hike! The artwork of God was beautiful and amazing!! It had rained the day before and sprinkled some the morning we came so the trail had some standing water and muddy in parts. The is a moderate trail to me due to the unevenness of the rock steps and the change in elevation in some parts.

One of the many beautiful areas to explore along the Eno River. There are several shallow areas to play in the water. The trails are definitely worth hiking and I love the bridge at this location. Also, because this is outside, please be aware that snakes and other wildlife are here and need to be respected.
