We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Brumley Nature Preserve Expansion yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Brumley Nature Preserve Expansion

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (19 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Fun trail system, lovely forest, so different from my usual Phoenix trails.

★★★★★ — Ron , Apr 2023

This is my favorite place to park when I am at Brumley! It has great access to the lava loop in courts trails, which then connect to Springhouse. Come here for running, and I know a lot of people enjoy biking here. There are several creeks and pretty good nature life if you’re paying attention as well.

Great bike trails. Note: as of 8/1/2025 the trail system is split because the bridge over Stoney Creek is out.
