We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Buckskin Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Buckskin Trailhead

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (22 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Most of the areas are private properties but trees are beautiful to look at.”

Very nice hiking spot amd scenic view from mountain. But only one improvement It needs is some restroom

★★★★★ — Ben , Dec 2024

You can go about 3.5 miles up and hit an amazing summit. Almost 1500 Ft elevation gain. Great views!

★★★★★ — Cindy , Aug 2023

Nice hike up the hill, but the signage is not helpful. The trail itself climbs 600 feet over the course of three miles before it intersects the road, but that isn't mentioned on the signs at all. In fact, the maintained trail isn't even shown on the trailhead map.

★★★★☆ — Robert , Oct 2022

I love this trail, aka Wiggle Worm. Today was rather more difficult with slick snowy sections.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“(Road beyond the main trailhead gets rough really fast and definitely one you want a high-clearance 4wd vehicle for)”
