Beautiful hike along the creek, around and through groves of trees. Lots of good spots for reflection/meditation off the trail. Decent view of the town from the top.
Take the trail on the right for an easy, mild grade, partially shaded hike next to a babbling creek for much of the 1.8 miles in with 9 short study bridges to cross along the way. Dogs on leash are permitted. Trail is shared by uphill mountain bikers. Bikers have a separate downhill trail for the return ride.
City Creek is one of my favorite places in Pocatello. It has gorgeous views, fantastic trails for both runners and mountain bikers, and you can often run into wildlife along the way. I saw a cow moose and her calf while on a run a few years ago. City Creek is one of Pocatello's favorite trails and us open to all.
Very great and well taken care of trail. This is a good trail for casual mountain biking/hiking. It’s a decently popular area and you’ll see a couple people as your on the trail. They’re restoring some parts of the trail so there will be a couple detours here and there.
