Confirmed from Burke Crenshaw Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Large, serene park offering opportunities for fishing, baseball games, wildlife viewing & more.
What runners say about Burke Crenshaw Park
“Overall, it’s a clean, well, kept park with something for all ages, great for both quiet solo time and fun group activities.”
“The walking trail is nicely paved and loops around a scenic lake, making it ideal for walking, jogging, or just taking in some fresh air.”
“Burke Crenshaw Park is a great spot for families, joggers, and anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful outdoor space in Pasadena.”
Beautiful park. Excellent for jogging or just relaxing by the water. There is ducks year round and in the spring, you get to see the little baby ducks. At night, there is some parts of the trail that are not well lit, but overall it is a safe park.
I love this Park! The new(ish) covered exercise equipment for adults is a real plus. Can't beat it at night for a tranquil walk with the ducks. There is a new Wet Spot water play area for kids!
Amazing park for relaxing and exercising. The views are awesome. The park isn't very large and the track circles a small lake. You can cross the lake via a small bridge as well. There's plenty of wildlife, especially ducks. There's also a small bike trail that takes you towards Strawberry Road.
In my 11 years of this Park I had always had a good time. It has a nice trail for a little jog around the lake. There is many ducks and some geese. There is water fountains around some parts and the Bathrooms are fine. The Playground is a bit different last time I checked but it’s fine.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
