Confirmed from Burlington Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Burlington Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (36 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“Huge amounts of big and shady trees, wide paths, clean, quaint, and mostly quiet with the exception of trains passing nearby (no loud obnoxious horns, though!”

A quiet place, that's way out of the residential areas. It's a good place to go for a picnic. They have a shelter with four benches that may have to be booked early, if it was a normal time. It's a bit hard to locate the entrance to the park: the sign was so small !

This is a hidden, little neighborhood park. I find it a peaceful place to have lunch and a quick walk in the woods. There is no playground equipment. The park backs up to railroad tracks. I’m guessing that’s how it got it’s name from the nearby Burlington Railroad.

Pretty hidden gem. Train tracks close but you'll forget you're in town when walking the trails.

★★★★☆ — Jeffrey , Jun 2022

Not much hiking (maybe 1/10mi or so) but what there is, is stunningly beautiful. Huge amounts of big and shady trees, wide paths, clean, quaint, and mostly quiet with the exception of trains passing nearby (no loud obnoxious horns, though!). Also it’s nestled in a very safe neighborhood: So that’s a plus.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🤫 Quiet / uncrowded 3 mentions
