Confirmed from Pioneer Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“The park is scenic and quiet and there are a few incredible estates, just across the river, that clearly have a million dollar view.”

I like this park, there is a nice parking lot and a nice shelter near the parking lot. Further south along a small path is a bridge that crosses the DuPage River. This bridge is there very nice picturesque place. It's a good place to go to have your picture taken.

Awesome trails, nice river, saw some wildlife - only negative is that its right by a large highway and that's all you can hear.

★★★★☆ — Don , Mar 2021

Great place to stroll through. The river is shallow, so there were a few people wading. There is a beautiful bridge and a few other nice areas that serve as perfect settings for pictures. The park is scenic and quiet and there are a few incredible estates, just across the river, that clearly have a million dollar view.

This park has an adequate parking lot and clean facilities. There’s no playground equipment, but I think having the restrooms makes it kid-friendly. It’s a nice place to go for a stroll and walk across the river at the nearby bridge.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
