Confirmed from Burr Ponds Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly green space featuring ponds and a paved trail, along with picnic tables.
What runners say about Burr Ponds Park
“Clean, pleasant, peaceful.”
“Quiet and nice place to be.”
This park will always have a special place in my heart, it was the first place I met my love. It is a great place to walk, enjoy your lunch, and see all the cute ducks!!
Nice small park with ponds, you are allowed to catch & release, I also enjoy the paved trail around the ponds - good way to get some walking in while you're there!
I do like the work they did to the pond in the past years but I really miss taking my kids to feed the ducks. Really only worth it to fish now. There is a sidewalk around the whole thing allowing a place to walk but it is all direct sun and not very large.
Trails going around the ponds. Pavillion with picnic tables. You can fish the pond but you can not keep the fish. There are geese and plenty of grassy area to sit on a blanket and read our have picnics. Quiet and nice place to be.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
