Confirmed from Burrage Pond Wildlife Management Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I walk here almost every morning. Miles of gravel paths, water/fishing, lots of wildlife. I’ve recently seen deer, otters, heron, egrets, frogs, turtles, osprey, and snakes. Lots of paths in the woods too.

★★★★★ — Chris , Jul 2022

I was presently surprised by going with a friend to walk and coming to this location. It’s dog friendly, has over ten miles of outdoor walking trails, and vast space to get your steps in outside (for those that prefer fresh air and vast open space vs. the treadmill).

★★★★☆ — Caitlin , Feb 2023

Nice path through the woods to huge, cleared pond space. Trail continues around the entire pond, great for fishing, biking, and walking.

★★★★★ — Wem , Jun 2022

Lots of interwoven trails around reservoirs, marshes, and forests with deer, rabbits, and wild turkeys. A couple of parking areas at Elm St, Crooker Place, and Hawks Ave, although none fit more than about 6-8 vehicles. Trails aren't marked or mapped besides the Bay Circuit Trail markers, which are few and far between.

★★★★☆ — Matt , Feb 2021

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
