Confirmed from Bushkill Falls' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🪧 well-marked 2 mentions

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“This is a very beautiful place a nice easy trail, no hard things really.”

We finally checked out Bushkill Falls over the summer and it was a really great day with the kids. We paid a little over $20 a person, so not the cheapest “walk in the woods,” but the views are gorgeous and the waterfalls are worth seeing at least once. It was crowded when we went..

Pretty falls and hiking area. Lots of stairs. Multiple trail options if mobility is an issue. Be warned that this is a private business, not a public park. It is $22 for an adult and $12 for a child. Dogs are welcome. Plenty of picnic tables available. There is a cafe and gift shop as well.

★★★★☆ — Asher , Jul 2025

This is one of those places you visit with your friends and spend the whole day exploring, capturing, and being in nature. It's not crowded, even on Sunday. Getting tickets is eqsy and quick. There's ample parking space. The hike is well maintained and a mix of steps and unsaved paths.

★★★★★ — Google , Jul 2025

Awesome time at Bushkill Falls - it was very busy that morning we went after several days of rain - everyone had the same idea. Need some patience bc everyone are wanting pics at the falls - some of the bridge works are small so we let traffic go by and then proceeded.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 4 mentions

“Lots of people with dogs - "on leashes" and if you have a back pack expect for them to have you open it up for inspection.”

🪵 Boardwalk 2 mentions

“But it was like being on a boardwalk, surrounded by nature instead of seagulls.”

“However, it feels overpriced at $22 for adults and $12 for kids (4+), unless you complete the full Red Trail loop.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
